The first round of Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament was started at Jermuk Ashxarh. The governor of Vayots Dzor Trdat Sargsyan and the mayor of Jermuk Vardan Hovhannisyan visited to see the games. The first step of the tournament was entrusted to Stepan Avagyan's grandson, little Stepan.
